Summation
Steps to be walking as Son's of God with Power 1. Read and Study the Word. Knowledge is power, especially when it comes to what God says. Meditate (think on) day and night. Keeping it fresh, alive, and real. (2 Timothy 2:15, 2 Peter 1:3, Colossians 3:16). 2. Pray, talk to, fellowship with God. Not just in times of need. Thanking God continuously first thing when we get up, for our lives, for the things we have, for the things we want, for those we love and simply recognizing and utilizing that power (Christ) within us. From the time we wake up to the time we go to bed. Putting God first consistently and/or learning too. (Mathew 6:33, Colossians 3:17). Pray without ceasing. (1 Thessalonians 5:17) 3. Stand on the Word Prove it, do it to see the results of what God promises happen (come to pass). We cannot do the works of Christ and greater (John 14:12) unless we are thinking like He was, with The Word. "It is written" should be in the forefront of all our thinking and doing's of our lives'. Every attack from the adversary against Christ, he always replied "It is written". There is power in the believed and spoken Word of God. And Jesus Christ knew and used that power with The Word. And we can too. (Hebrews 4:12) Receive, Retain and Release - The Word of God 1. Receive - the Word, putting it in our minds is the first step to knowing what God desires for us and for us to receive (to believe for) what God promises and makes available to us as His sons and daughters. (Hebrews 11:6, 1 Corinthians 2:12)
2. Retain - We retain (remember it), after receiving it, keeping it in our minds from reading and studying. By thinking it throughout our days. Meditating (thinking on) day and night. Also by and with fellow shipping (talking) with God consistently. Prayer, thankfulness, making our requests known to God. He's our our refuge, our friend, our healer, our deliverer, our power. (John 10:10) 3. Release - By standing on, doing and speaking to others about. "Proving" what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God. (Romans 12:2). "Claiming" that victory God has given us through His Son Jesus Christ and helping others see that it can work for them too. We already have that victory. But we really can't utilize it, until we ourselves "believe" we have it. (1 John 4:4, 1 Corinthians 15:57, Romans 10:17). Keys to be walking as Son's of God with Power 1. Charity - Greek - Agape - "The Love of God put into action", (behavior). (I Corinthians - Chapter 13). Above all (Colossians 3:14). And we operate the Love of God as we change our old ways of thinking. To believe and act on what the Word of God says we are, and what the Word of God says we can do. Toward ourselves and others. (Romans 12:2) 2. Thankfulness - gratitude - appreciation. SIT - giving thanks well. How we value things. Acknowledging God consistently for what He can do and has done for us through His Son and our Lord, Jesus Christ. Having received that Christ in us and that eternal life to have with Him. (Colossians 3:17, Hebrews 13:15,16, Ephesians 5:20). 3. Walk in spirit - Operate and walk in, SIT, pray without ceasing. It's "Christ in you". Be in Christ. Fellowship with God. - (Colossians 1:27, I John - Chapter 1, Romans - Chapter 8, Ephesians 6:10 - 18) Pray without ceasing. (1 Thessalonians 5:17). 4. Believing (faith) - see it, believe it, trust, confidence, renew mind to, build, determine. (Hebrews 11:1) 5. Peace - calm confident relaxed composure - patient love leading - beneficial self control - at ease confidence. Opposite of anger, fear, worrying, irritated, frustration, impatience, unbelieving, condemnation, guilt. It's the healing and soothing benefit for and from doing 1. through 4. (John 14:27, 16:33, Romans 5:1, Galatians 5:22). |
Our Sonship Rights as Son's and Daughter's of God
Our Sonship Rights as Son's and Daughter's of God
1. We have been Redeemed.
2. We are Sanctified. 3. We have Righteousness. 4. We are Justified. 5. We have the Ministry of Reconciliation. |
Redemption: We have been redeemed, "bought back" from the adversary and his powers. (II Corinthians 4:4, John 10:10) It's Christ in you. (Colossians 1:27) We are heirs of God and joint-heirs with Christ. (Romans 8:17) We have God's incorruptible seed born within, Christ in us, holy spirit. (1 Peter 1:23). Jesus Christ "paid the price" for us. (Ephesians 1:7)
Sanctified: Sanctified is "being set apart". We were born into this world with body and soul. When we are/were born again, (Romans 10:9,10) we became complete with body, soul and "spirit". Becoming part of God's household. Receiving holy spirit and eternal life. And having a new way to think, believe and act, to receive the benefits of being able to walk and talk with God. Having His holy spirit now in us to do and receive, for and from Him. Righteousness: Righteousness is the freedom from sin. We have been freed from the sin of Adam. Adam was the disobedient one, Jesus Christ the obedient. God made us righteous through Jesus Christ and "all" that He accomplished. So what Adam lost for himself and all future mankind is/was the spiritual connection he had with God. Believing in Jesus Christ (Christ Jesus) makes it available for us to get that back, that spiritual connection with God. Justified: To be released from the penalty of sin. Because we are justified, freed from the penalty of sin, we are saved from the wrath, the tribulation in Revelation (1 Thessalonians 1:10). When you are justified, you no longer pay for your sins, they have been paid for you. (1 John 1:9, 1 John 2:2) We are as if we never sinned and are restoring ourselves back to fellowship with God, when we sin (break fellowship) with/from God. Ministry of Reconciliation: We are ambassadors for Christ. (2 Corinthians 5:18-21) Jesus Christ had the ministry (responsibility) of reconciling men unto God during His administration. The time period (administration) and status has since changed, from law, to grace, and now it is "Christ in us". We are now standing in the place of Christ. That ministering has now been committed (delivered) to us to walk in, as Christ did. (1 John 2:6) |
Conclusion I Corinthians 2:5 - 2:8 2:5 - That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God. 2:6 - Howbeit we speak wisdom among them that are perfect: yet not the wisdom of this world, nor of the princes (rulers, devils) of this world, that come to nought: 2:7 - But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory: 2:8 - Which none of the princes (rulers, devils) of this world knew: for had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.
John 14:12 - Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father. So wherever and whenever there is a believer, a person that is born again with God's spirit within, there is the potential to have the same power Christ had. Because He went to his/our Father (God) for his power and walk. Now we go through Christ to get and have access to God. If through prayer, believing, or if simply fellow shipping with God. (Colossians 3:17) So instead of there being only one Christ, in the days of Christ, it is now available (possible) for us all to walk with that same power as he (Christ) did. Being supplied with power from up on high, holy spirit, that "Christ in you" (us), to manifest God's power through love and believing. (I John 4:4) Which is why, if the adversary would have known this was to happen when he crucified the Lord Jesus Christ, he would not have crucified our Lord of glory. As he (Jesus Christ) was raised from the dead, being resurrected by God the third day, fulfilling the law, and was seated at the right hand of God. Upon who we wait for His final and glorious return and that eternal life to have with Him. As do our fellow sisters and brothers in Christ. Whom we shall be with also. Until then, we have God's Love and God's Power to walk in and out on. 1 Thessalonians 4:13 - 4:18 4:13 - But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope. 4:14 - For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him. 4:15 - For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep. 4:16 - For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: 4:17 - Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. 4:18 - Wherefore comfort one another with these words. |
