Introduction
There are verses from the Word of God (the Bible) on 5 pages and a summation page concluding my understanding of how to serve and walk with the power of God. I collect verses from some of my readings of the Word that I find inspiring at the time of my readings that I would like to remember more. Going over them repeatedly and particularly for a period of time. Until I gather a new set to learn, to remember and apply according to my needs. So they become more ingrained in my mind and heart, to believing action. There are also pages of quotes and music videos. Making this website at first for myself and the things that inspire me. To better myself for myself and those around me. As I enjoy giving, sharing, and being more a part of the solution than being part of the problem(s). Then making this website public for those who wish to see things in a different light. As we all have our own unique and different experiences in life, and at times tragedies. Therefore us all, having different perspectives, views, and beliefs. These are mine from my experiences and searching for answers in this thing we call...life. And we don't read the same books or access the same type of information or entertainment others do, each of us having different interests, tastes and needs. I particularly like the Word of God, quotes, select self help material, movies and music. I have collected and continue to, hundreds of quotes, as verses from the Word. I list some of those on this website to explore. Here is a taste of some quotes I particularly like. "The best vitamin for making friends is B-1". (1 John 2:9 - 11) "When looking for faults, use a mirror, not a telescope. (Luke 6:42) "You cannot change the direction of the wind, but you can adjust your sails". (Romans 12:2) "The Ten Commandments are not multiple choice". (Joshua 1:7,8) "One of the greatest tricks the devil pulls is having people believe that he doesn't exist". (2 Corinthians 4:4) "Some people don't look up until they are flat on their backs". "God's retirement plan is out of this world". (1 Thessalonians 4:16,17)
The Bible verses that are on this website are all from the King James Version of the Holy Bible from the year 1611. I am not against other versions of the Bible, as I use them at times to compare verses in them when studying. And I think most will find from reading these verses that are on this site from the KJV (King James Version) Bible, it's really not that difficult to understand the verses from. And I figure going back to the first published English translated version of the Bible gets me closer to the truth with less errors. The more translations of, the greater risks for biases and private interpretations, with other (more) Bibles translated from. And there are those errors, even in the King James Version. I figure just less of them to need to have to work through. My online Bible provides me with 20 versions of the Bible to read and study from. I prefer reading and studying from the King James Version. It shows "markings" where the translators of "added words". And there are some other select versions of the Bible that also do that. And those words that were added by the translators of, are sometimes accurate, and sometimes not. So some words are marked to show that those words were "added" by the translators, in italics. So one, the reader, can literally take them out or discount them as well. As they were added by the translators and they marked them so we would know they were added, by them. So if/when one discounts or excludes them, one still has the true Word of God. Some versions of the Bible don't do this, "mark" where they added or changed words. Some are correctly added and helpful. Some are inaccurate. Though through studying one can find these discrepancies and (apparent) contradictions and resolve them with the Word itself. So when those words that were added are not accurate, they continue to be inaccurate in other versions translated from. In some Bibles, not being marked. So the reader then may think that those words are "also" the Word of God. When at times they are not. An example of this is in one of the most important sections of the Word of God, in this verse. I Corinthians 12:1 - Now concerning spiritual gifts, brethren, I would not have you ignorant. The word "gifts" is marked in italics in the King James version. Meaning that it was "added" by the translators and is "marked" accordingly that it was, in italics. The word for "spiritual" is the Greek word "pneumatikos", meaning "spiritual things or matters", not gifts. It represents this in this next verse listed below. 1 Corinthians 12:7: - But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal. How many men? And then it lists them, the manifestations, not gifts. We have the "gift of holy spirit" (Ephesians 2:8) when we are born again. Then we have the manifestations of utilizing and walking in that spirit. Manifesting means to be bringing about, to be realized or carried out. Since the translators put (added) that word in "gifts", it then gets carried along to other versions of the Bible as such. So others then may possibly perceive these are gifts, when "they are" the manifestations of the operation of holy spirit, that "Christ in us". The manifestations we can utilize (operate) from the spirit of God we receive, once and when we are born again. (Romans 10:9,10, Colossians 1:27) "I believe" this is one of the most misunderstood sections of the Word of God throughout Christianity. As other sections are, or we wouldn't have so many religions. But we all can only go as far as we are taught. So it's understandable too. As some people rely solely on the information they get from TV, movies or radio, or commentary, or from their particular Church. But don't open the book (the Bible) themselves to see what "it says". I'm bewildered at times listening to speakers or individuals say God says this or that, when I never read "this or that" in the Bible. So we owe it to ourselves and to God to read it for ourselves. That is if we really "want to know" and have a much better relationship with God. Acts 17:11 - These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so. John 5:39 - Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me. |
